Tourism Areas:             Nueva Valencia is located at the southern tip of Guimaras.  It is considered as the tourism capital of the island province because of its many tourism prospects such as the Taklong-Island National Marine Reserve (TINMAR) at barangay La Paz; the SEAFDEC Marine Sub-Station in Barangay Igang and the Toyo Reef Sanctuary in Guiwanon Island.  It has 14 beach resorts; a heritage site where the century old Guise lighthouse is located and also the site of the Heritage Tourism Project; one privately owned wildlife research center which is the Lombija Wildlife Research Foundation, Inc. in Barangay Napandong.
